This is running Novell 4.9 SP2a. I can also take a laptop to the same port, and it will connect fine. I had the same problem and what I did was go into the NWLink IPX/SPX/NetBIOS Compatible Transport Protocal and change the frame type from auto to Ethernet 802.3 and rebooted. by R.
