I ran LiveUpdate over the weekend to get the latest virus defs and also encountered the same message, i.e. "There was an error performing the update (OK button)"I suspected a server Now I'm back where everyone else is plus I stupidly didn't save the 5.7 dmg. I also tested it with OmnIWeb 5.5 (latest) on the Mac running 10.4.8.The page does not load fully and then the browsers hang ("not responding" in Activity Monitor). I found a version of Norton Internet Security vs. 5.7 but it is not compatible with the Comcast pass code. This is definitely a problem with the Norton Installer provided by Comcast. Not sure if Comcast can be blamed at this point, although their customer service is terrible.
