I think this is their only choice if they dont want to lose their Increasingly shaky reputation. Jerks at Nikon wanted over $300 to fix it. I'm going to try Canon!!! Maybe they'll get the message.
The battery door latch has broken and the batteries are not held tight rendering the camera unusable. If nobody's ever had a similar "lens error problem" and can't contribute anything useful, then just point the guy to a Nikon repair shop and be done with it. I'm thinking of the D70 so I can use my lens off my Nikon 35mm, any comments...? guess what.
