Thanks, dude. When I removed the lens, I noticed that the mirror was stuck halfway, so that the viewfinder would display only half of the scene. I had the contact lens on it cleaned with an eraser. On looking at it again, it's not a setting that is turned on or off, but just activated when it is needed.
